Wolf at the Door is a haunting fairy tale about power, survival and resistance. Isadora lives in constant terror of her volatile husband, Séptimo. One day, Séptimo imprisons a pregnant woman named Yolot against her will. Together, the women must find the bravery to face the monster inside or risk predators beyond the door.
“Rooted in folklore and mythology of the Nahuas people, Wolf at the Door dissects the darkness that resides in domestic spaces — and celebrates the fierce strength needed to escape it.
Wolf at the Door contains mature content and themes that may be distressing for some audience members including depictions of:
- Domestic violence – physical and psychological abuse
- Traumatic pregnancy and infant loss
- Firearm usage
- Animal abuse (mentions of cruelty and violence against animals)
