SARASOTA, FL (November 12, 2025) — Asolo Repertory Theatre announced today the appointment of Juliana Han Witt as its new Director of Development, effective Friday, November 14, 2025. In this role, Han Witt will shape and lead the strategic direction of Asolo Rep’s fundraising and philanthropic partnerships, advancing the theatre’s vision of artistic excellence, educational innovation, and deep community connection.

A seasoned and mission-driven fundraising executive, Han Witt brings more than 20 years of experience across the nonprofit arts and culture section, spanning performing arts, museums, and arts education. Throughout her career, Han Witt has successfully led teams in securing transformational gifts, forging major institutional partnerships, and expanding community engagement. Her work has consistently emphasized strategy, collaboration, and equity-driven storytelling to connect donors with the transformative power of the arts.

“Asolo Rep is entering a dynamic period of growth, with bold artistic programming, investment in new work, and expanding our robust commitment to access and education,” said Peter Rothstein, Producing Artistic Director. “Juliana’s experience at some of our nation’s leading cultural organizations, coupled with her passion for inclusive philanthropy and strategic partnership, makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team.”

“As we build on recent successes and look toward Asolo Rep’s next chapter, Juliana’s record of leading high-performing teams, stewarding major donors, and designing comprehensive campaigns will be invaluable,” said Ross Egan, Managing Director.

A classically trained musician, Han Witt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Smith College and is an alumna of the American Express Leadership Academy, where has served as a mentor and facilitator for emerging nonprofit leaders nationwide.

“I am truly honored to join Asolo Rep at this exciting moment in its history,” said Juliana Han Witt. “Asolo Rep’s commitment to bold storytelling, exceptional artistry, and meaningful community engagement resonates deeply with me.
