Hearing Loop Systems

Asolo Repertory Theatre is an accessible theatre equipped with a hearing loop and an infrared Assistive Listening System in the Mertz and Cook Theatres. The hearing loop theatre accessibility service in the Mertz Theatre is intended to assist those with hearing aids or cochlear implants with telecoils (T-Coil).

Sound is transmitted directly from our P.A. system without background noise or interference to better serve our patrons. By turning your hearing aid to “T” for reception, you will be able to hear our performances with improved amplification and clarity.

Seats in the Mertz NOT equipped with the loop include Row A in the orchestra and Row F in the mezzanine. The Infrared Assistive Listening System delivers high-quality audio directly to a lightweight receiver which is available from the audio desk in the lobby. For patrons who do not have the T-Coil system, complimentary hearing amplification headsets are available in both theatre lobbies.
