Annual Asolo Luminary Award
Established in 2025, Asolo Repertory Theatre’s Luminary Award is an annual celebration that brings patrons of Asolo Rep face-to-face with the most distinguished minds in the world of theatre and beyond. The award and its subsequent event were formed in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee to honor creatives in the arts industry.

Inaugural Luminary Award
The inaugural Luminary Award celebration, held in January 2025, honored esteemed playwright Ken Ludwig. As one of the most performed playwrights of his generation, Ludwig’s productions have become standards of the American repertoire. With six productions on Broadway and eight in London’s West End as of 2025, Ludwig’s 34 plays and musicals are staged throughout the United States and around the world.
