What You Need to Know

• Expectations

  Before you submit your interest form, please remember that volunteer ushers must:

  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Have the ability to navigate stairs
  • Have at least six months of availability between November and July

• Requirements

  Volunteer ushers are required to:

  • Usher a minimum of twice per month
  • Read the handbook
  • Attend an in-person orientation meeting

• Dress Code

  Volunteer ushers are required to dress in a polished, uniform and conservative manner. Failure to follow Asolo Rep’s outlined dress code may lead to being excused from a performance.

  Please wear the following items:

  • White, red or black top (no pictures or lettering)
  • Black sport coat, cardigan or sweater
  • Black pants/skirt
  • Black closed-toe shoes (not sneakers)

  Alternative Options:

  • Black suits (tie optional)
  • Black dresses

  Volunteer ushers may also purchase through the house manager, an Asolo Rep embroidered short sleeve or long sleeve polo shirt which can be worn with a black pair of pants or a black skirt. This is not a required purchase.
