ACTING TECHNIQUES IV – Acting Shakespeare

Explore the richness of Shakespeare’s language while developing the tools needed to perform classical text with confidence. Students will investigate verse, prose, imagery, rhetoric, and character while learning how to make Shakespeare’s text immediate, accessible, and emotionally truthful. The course emphasizes connecting classical technique with authentic, contemporary acting. 

 

Prerequisite: Acting Techniques III – Scene Study

Duration: Four 3-hour classes
