BRING AN ARTIST TO YOUR CLASSROOM
Crafting the Magic: Careers in the Theatre
Blended workshops combine three sessions of video tours at Asolo Rep, classroom tasks, and live-stream interaction with professionals in order to introduce behind-the-scenes insights and connections between science, language arts, and theatre-making.
Lighting for Theatre
Option 1: Experiment with mixing colored light (Science and theatre skills, recommended for middle school)
Option 2: Apply circuitry concepts to conceive an illuminated prop (Science and theatre skills, recommended for high school)
Costume for Theatre
Option 3: Character analysis and research through clothing (language arts, visual art, and theatre skills, recommended for middle and high school)
These workshops can be used in combination with a theatre visit, with each other, or as stand-alone experiences. We’ll be happy to discuss how to make the right match for your group!
Cost: $200/class (30 participant maximum); additional workshops for $150 each.
