GUYS AND DOLLS

Designer: Brian Hemesath


Brian C. Hemesath (Costume Designer, Guys and Dolls) is pleased to be designing his first show at Asolo Rep. He designed the costumes for Broadway’s Honeymoon in Vegas. Brian is also a two-time Emmy Award-winning designer at PBS’s Sesame Street. He spent 14 years at Saturday Night Live designing costumer for approximately 106 “digital shorts” with the Lonely Island Boys, as well as other pre-tapes including “Xanax for Gay Weddings.” He has designed multiple shows at Paper Mill Playhouse including Boeing, Boeing; Smokey Joe’s Café; Pump Boys and Dinettes; and High School Musical. Off Broadway shows include Disaster! and Unbroken Circle. Brian received his MFA from Carnegie Mellon University and was the 2015 recipient of the Irene Sharaff Young Master award. Brian lives in New York with his husband Drew Krake.

Tracy Dorman (Costume Designer, The Little Foxes) has designed at numerous regional theatre and opera companies around the country including Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Cleveland Play House, Syracuse Stage, GEVA, Milwaukee Rep, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Maltz-Jupiter, Drury Lane (Chicago), Kansas City Rep, Virginia Opera, Kentucky Opera, Opera Omaha, Chicago Opera Theatre, Glimmerglass, and New York City Opera.  From 2005-2008 she was an associate costume designer on the CBS daytime drama As the World Turns, for which she won a 2007 Emmy Award for Costume Design.
